Tilda Swinton Talks ‘I Am Love,’ Jil Sander Wardrobe, and Baring All

Filed under: Fashion , Celebrity , News , Designers & Brands , Celebrity Style Tilda Swinton — seen here with actress Marisa Berenson — is red hot in Jil Sander for “I Am Love.” Photo courtesy of Magnolia Pictures Tilda Swinton ‘s latest star turn is as a wealthy, unfaithful wife in the Italian-language film ” Io Sono L’Amore ” (” I Am Love “), which opened on Friday. Produced by Silvia Venturini Fendi of the famous Fendi family, and with characters dressed by Fendi and Jil Sander ‘s Raf Simons , the film is practically fashion porn. (And for fans of more traditional porn, there’s some of that, too!) Oscar-winner Swinton not only pulls off the whole film in Italian, but her character also requires her to do it with a Russian accent.

The Commons in a taxonomy of goods

Republished from January 2010, on the occasion of the launch of our new wiki section on Open and Free Business Models : The Commons has the potential to replace the commodity as the determining form of re-/producing societal living conditions. Such a replacement can only occur, if communities constitute themselves for every aspect of life, in order to take „their“ commons back and to reintegrate them into a new need-focused logic of re-/production

Scotland Day 2

DAY TWO            Today we went to another town outside of Perth, about 30 minutes away where there is a large warhouse called “The Scottish Antique & Arts Centre” and basically it’s just that. A bunch of people who have collected and sell anitiques send their antiques to this warehouse where several clerks host and sell it for them. It really was brilliant and some of the antiques were over hundreds of years old, that was mostly the oreintal antiques, but there were many other interesting things too such as ivory silverware, real fur coats (which I didn’t enjoy), and even old postcards, some of which had been used and had messages and addresses on the back of them

Via Reuters : A German student created a major traffic jam in Bavaria after making a rude gesture at a group of Hell’s Angels motorcycle gang members, hurling a puppy at them and then escaping on a stolen bulldozer

Take it easy as the Trading Place

Sit back, relax and take it all in.  While the hustle and bustle of shoppers, locals, buggies and cars seem to be a never ending stream, simply take time to relax.  Begin by strolling around the Quilt Garden and the sidewalks connecting Menno-Hof to the Farmstead Inn and the Antique Gallery.  Enjoy the sights and sounds of Shipshewana at your own pace.   Take in the sweet smell of the flowers that comprise the Quilt Garden and watch as the ducks leisurely swim in the ponds. For more information on the Quilt Garden Tour and where each of the gardens are located visit www.amishcountry.org/quiltgardens .
