Fremont, downtown of Vegas was where the first few hotels/casinos first started out inthe 1940s, then the now bustling (dunno what to call it) central area with mirage, planet hollywood, caesar’s palace, the venetian etc started developing away from downtown area. dad said these free nights shows are to pul lthe crowds back to Fremont.

Jump to the full entry & travel map Madrid, Autonomous Region of Madrid, Spain It was my last day in the Spanish capital, and I hadn’t yet visited a few of the museums on my list out of the dozens in Madrid, so today was my last opportunity to do so, and I certainly wasn’t going to pass it up. Originally I had planned to go to Segovia on this day, but I realized that I would not get to see all that Madrid had to offer..

Jump to the full entry & travel map Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand Welcome to the final continent on our itinerary, South East Asia. We’ve seen so much on our adventure so far but I have a feeling that South East Asia is still going to be to exceed expectation and bring us new wonders to marvel at. As it has been well documented in the news Thailand has been the scene of some terrible violence, mainly in Bangkok but also in other northern areas we planned to visit first.

Jump to the full entry & travel map Lakewood Center, Washington, United States We lost our pretty 80 degree days, and the closer to Washington we got, the more it rained — go figure! Not a lot to report today … We had a later than usual start (guess we were tired) and got lost twice! But we still managed to do a decent number of miles. We crossed the border without any problems — even with the BC fruit we bought — and are back in the USA! Now we’re trying to get use to the fast pace of a big city and an 8-lane highway!
We might be out of touch for a night or two; I don’t think we’ll have internet

Jump to the full entry & travel map Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, United States **to be edited** Day 3 The day was mostly spent”hiking” a few miles of the Bright Angel Trail. In the words of Mom, “it was a mile and a half goin’ down, and ten miles comin’ back up.” We stopped at a few “mini-museums”, including one (out of a couple) that had Bible verses engraved in plaques on supporting columns (pretty nifty, and we, of course, snapped a pic).

Jump to the full entry & travel map Playa del Carmen, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico good day today, the traveling all went well. First a boat ride from Lamanai to the dock just outside orange walk town, that was just about an hour on a fast speed boat, and we saw a big crocodile on the way. At the dock our driver Alex from Belize VIP transfers was there waiting for us, so it was a quick transfer of the bags and off we set for Chetumal.

If you've ever been through a sad break-up with someone you've love, you may have written a heartbroken poem. You may have even written such a poem for things like the loss of a pet or a family member, sadness at moving away from your friends, or any number of sad life events. But it seems nothing inspires such sad poetry as a break-up or divorce.
