Passport Fee Increase

I got my first passport when I was fifteen and going on a school trip to England and France. This means I spent the following 10 years flashing a picture of me in braces and with hair styling fresh from basketball practice. When it was due for renewal I snickered when I realized that renewing my passport actually cost me more than applying for one originally.

"First ditch on the right." Westervoort, Holland.

This is quite a funny subject, because it really is the first ditch on the right when you leave my little hometown. In the right upper corner you can even see the overhead line of our train track that passes our town

A long time back, vehicles were a luxury, and today they are a necessity. In the same way, cells were a luxury when they were first launched, and only the lucky few could have it. However, phones have become a very important device in the life of the common man.

Four Types of Users Who Should Use a Cheap Cell Phone

With the prices of technology coming down since the past few years, there are a number of cheap cell phone models that are available today. These phones offer the most basic of features and do not have the bells and whistles that an expensive phone would have. Due to this, people who are technically adept and advanced would not want to buy a phone like this

Mainland China and Hong Kong Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA)

As an Asian business hub, a tax efficient city, and one of the freest economies in the world, Hong Kong (HK) is internationally renowned for being an ideal business city. Like all economies, Hong Kong would have been hard hit by the global economic crisis. However, lessons learnt from the previous financial crisis and closer collaboration with Mainland China have helped to lessen the impact of the recession.

Jump to the full entry & travel map Yosemite National Park, California, United States *photos to come later Day 4 – Yosamite Firstly, the original plan for blogging was that Ian and I take turns with different cities, but Ian is too tired/in an ice-cream induced coma, so you are stuck with me for today’s blog. What’s Cooking with YOUR Kids: 11 Year Old Emery’s Cravings + Musings

Bacon, Lettuce, and Avocado Wrap, By Emery I am an 11-year-old from California. If you read my mother’s blog, In Erika’s Kitchen, you might have seen a few of my recipes. The kitchen is where I go to have some “alone time” with my mom (and, of course, to cook, one of my favorite

Camilo Cruz/Slobodan Dimitrov/Nicholas Grider @ Angels Gate

I have to say that I picked the right weekend to spend all three days going to openings. Starting Friday with Christine Nguyen at the HB Art Center and finishing today at Angels Gate it has been a solid weekend of stand-out art, and I did not have to go to L.A. to see any of it

Isn’t It Charming? Aquamarines, rubies, and Swarovski Crystals

I am a great fan of charm bracelets . I personally prefer them in gold with weighty charms, some encrusted with gemstones; they are especially endearing when the charms have been collected over a long period of time and have a special or sentimental value for the wearer.

With QWERTY phones being the rage in the market today, most mobile phone manufacturers are scrambling amongst themselves to get some good QWERT options to the people.
