Day around the house and town — Ocean Grove, Victoria, Australia

Jump to the full entry & travel map Ocean Grove, Victoria, Australia Had more sleep last night but woke up at 6am, maybe I’ll get more sleep tonight, all thru then wake up around 8 tomorrow, lets see. I’m writing this and the sun is streaming thru all of the windows, the window is open, there’s mesh on all the windows Chris so you don’t need to worry, but it’s windy. It’s still a warm day, I’m going to read some leaflets, take Harry for a walk, just generally chill out today and try to settle as I’m still not settled and don’t know what I’m doing next :-/ It ended up raining which was frustrating as I’d psyched myself up to go down to the beach, got to the end of the road and the rain starts, it got worse so I decided just to walk around the block then back to the house

Top of the world — Potosi, Bolivia

Jump to the full entry & travel map Potosi, Bolivia At 1 am we were standing next to our bus waiting for our bags to be unloaded from the luggage racks on the roof of the bus, while a dozen taxi drivers were standing by with the familiar calls..Taxi , taxi, taxi, hostal, hostal, taxi amigo!Well seeing as you asked us enough times then sure we’ll take your taxi! Dropped outside the hotel we were to stay in we waited for an answer in the dark narrow side street. After getting inside and, as we suspected, finding no reservation had been made for us (in fact the hotel staff had never even heard of Laura travel or Andrea) we managed to get a couple of beds in a huge dorm room

Super Sexy Fruity Lexi……a — Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Jump to the full entry & travel map Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Straight from Australia Zoo we hopped on the greyhound bus headed to Byron Bay, a really cool surfers town in between Brisbane and Sydney. We had been told that it was a real party town and when we arrived at 11:55pm on a saturday night all was revealed to be true, getting directions to our hostel would have been easier to get from a deaf Chinese man than our fellow drunk travellers.

Penguins and Students — Dunedin, South Island, New Zealand

Jump to the full entry & travel map Dunedin, South Island, New Zealand After falling in love with Fiordland via Kepler and Doubtful, we debated about staying on in the area for a couple more days and see the more famed Milford Sound. In the end we decided to instead go from the West coast to the East coast to Dunedin. The drive was as long as I was expecting as we traversed Southland and Otago via- Mossburn, Gore, Clinton, Balclutha, Milton and others.

1st Stop Bolivia — Villazon, Bolivia

Jump to the full entry & travel map Villazon, Bolivia Stamps in our passport and no clue where we were going we headed off blindly in search of a bus station. We walked in the heat up through the streets checking out the many stores selling all sorts of essential and useless stuff. Kepler Part 3 — Te Anau, South Island, New Zealand

Jump to the full entry & travel map Te Anau, South Island, New Zealand After another shocking night’s sleep, despite sedation we decide we’re going to storm it and go back to Te Anau tonight. See although staying in the huts is fun; we have just spent a week sleeping on separate sofa beds in Phil’s parent’s time share villa. So the bunk room with 20 other people and no shower is outed for the idea of a hotel room, with an en suite bath, bar and wine to drink in said bath! Unfortunately we’re up a little later than planned and if we’re going to make it in time for the bus back to Te Anau (and not have to walk a further 5kms on top of the 25kms we already have ahead) then we’re going to need to mission it.

Last stop in Argentina — Tilcara, Northern Argentina, Argentina

Jump to the full entry & travel map Tilcara, Northern Argentina, Argentina The landscape as we headed towards tilcara became more and more harsh with desert like scenery with huge rock outcrops stretching up high above forming columns and crevasses from thousands of years of errosion. We pulled into a little town with dust covered streets, small houses and stores and a few modest little churches. We walked from the bus station and found a hostal and settled in

Australian Adventure Week Seven! — Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Jump to the full entry & travel map Melbourne, Victoria, Australia We were sad to leave Sydney and the campsite where we had met so many people but it was time to move on and so we left, really early in the day… We drove around 350 km to Canberra and arrived in time for lunch. We only had today to see the sites so we wasted no time in getting to the tourist information centre and picking out the highlights.

Jump to the full entry & travel map Te Anau, South Island, New Zealand The night’s sleep was average and slightly chilly but once we had managed to creak our way out bed for the joys of porridge we were greeted by a stunning view.
