How to enjoy the most of your Fashion Shows course

The most important suggestion is give yourself some time for accommodation before the classes start.  Keep in mind that even if you are coming to Milan from the neighboring Austria, there will be a lot of stress involved. Getting used to a new place and a new language might be more demanding than you thought. The stress increases exponentially when you arrive from other parts of the world and have to deal with the time zones

Maison et Objet Fair Paris January 2009 Fall in visitors but still the leading trade show

The strategy of focussing exclusively on Design has allowed the MAISON&OBJET trade show to confirm its position as a leader and demonstrate Paris’s ability to stand out as an unbeatable venue and a major economic centre among its European counterparts in synergy with the MEUBLE PARIS show. The MAISON&OBJET trade show, which was held from 23rd to 27th January, 2009, received 75,755 visitors of whom 32,043 were from abroad, representing 42.30% of the visitors who came to discover the 2009 collections over nearly 130,000m² of stands. Despite a 12% fall in visitors, the MAISON&OBJET trade show is focussing its design-based strategy on the long term, with a transversal offer turning the spotlight very much on product innovation, extreme quality of layout designs and unique expertise

The Amish Furniture Making Tradition

To understand and appreciate the tradition of Amish handcrafted furniture, one first has to understand the Amish traditions, their beliefs and their way of life. It is this that makes it possible for us as consumers to enjoy high quality Amish furniture which is both stylish with classic lines which never go out of fashion and durable so that it lasts literally for generations. The Amish movement takes its name from Jakob Amman, a Swiss Brethren leader and they have their communities predominantly in the Pennsylvania region.

Getting your dollar’s worth of food!

Following on the One Dollar Diet Project ‘s footsteps, Amy and Karla of Hope Heals:”Dollar-A-Day Challange” are attempting to eat on a dollar a day for a month in order to raise money for a trip to Africa with Habitat for Humanity. One point raised in the $1 Diet Project’s comments is that a dollar a day buys you more in those very countries where people live on that amount of money or less, countries such as Mexico. I was curious so I took Amy and Karla’s shopping list and compared it to the prices listed on Profeco’s website Quién es quién en los precios (who is who in prices) where they comparison shop a wide list of items.
